This is no doubt just driven by a desire to increase profits, not to actually improve the game. It even looks like warscrolls will only be accessible if you own the battletome once the beta for the app ends (like in 40k). GW is currently creating an environment where they make it very hard to play the game of age of sigmar, by publishing the game rules (even for a single faction) in several different places, with no option to get them all in one convenient place. It's not piracy to get your rules from them. So sites like aosreminders or 1d4chan are not doing anything illegal by publishing rules references. Only the particular presentation of it is. If you are not aware: Rules content is not protected under copyright law. Honestly, that makes me not at all feel bad for using rules aggregator sites for AoS. I know that some companies have been releasing old gaming products as PDFs (see WoTC OD&D or Judges Guild products on. Instead, it seems like there is a move to make rules and rules updates even harder to access than in 2nd ed. I'm interested in reading the old articles from the first 10 or so issues of White Dwarf magazine, but used print copies seem to be a little high priced for casual reading instead of collecting. I was hoping the new AoS app/warhammer+ would offer that. I'm with you on this: I have said from the start that if GW offered a conventient way to get all rules updates, even on a subscription basis, I would jump on that in a heart beat. r/Warhammer Competitive for discussion of tournament/competition lists r/warhammer for more discussion of GW games Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions TCG Subreddit Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire, Nightvault, and Beastgrave Subreddit DiscordĪllied Discord Server with /r/Warhammer Links Posts & comments can and will be removed at the moderators discretion, no arguments will be entered into. So chomping at the bit, I downloaded Issue 3 of White Dwarf Weekly today, and gave it a read. Regardless, I still had high hopes for the magazine, as well all know that every now and then WD throws up a dud. Maybe I was just getting bored of dwarves. No sharing or requesting illegal content.
